Why do you ride for Nautique?
The quality of a Nautique is second to none and being a faith-based company is important to me.
What is your favorite Nautique boat to ride behind and why?
Super Air Nautique 230 - woot woot! The wake makes riding so effortless.
What is your favorite trick?
The ones I don't fall on, Depends - some tricks are simple but feel good to do them like a wake to wake Indy backside 180, but a 9 has so much going on so it depends on my mood some days.
What is your favorite riding spot?
Bull Shoals, AR
What is your favorite tune?
Dueling Banjos
What is your favorite movie?
Comedy, Tommy Boy. Drama/Action Glory and Shawshank.
How would you describe the perfect day?
Early start, good breakfast with the family, fresh tracks at Squaw Valley in Tahoe, take a quick flight to Kauai and surf the North shore there getting glassy barrels. Then jump on a plane that flies 1000 mph to ride my wakeboard at home for a sunset ride here. End the day with a bunch of friends over for a big ol' dinner.
Oh yeah, I also love operating heavy equipment, like front end loaders, skid loaders and excavators, so if I could squeeze that in there somewhere that’d be great.
Busy day.
Who are you most inspired by?
Depends on what I am doing. My dad has taught me a lot and lately my father in law, Jeff has been teaching me a bunch about house building, but day-to-day I try to live like Jesus. Doesn't always work out, but I do my best to bring Him out in my daily walk.
Which 2010 videos will you be featured in?
I just did the Hyperlite team video Rewritten and Global Warning for 2009, so I will probably not film too much for this year. Gonna try to shoot more stills this year.
Do you have any advice for the kids?
Ride for the fun of it. If you are looking to get sponsored, just ride and enjoy yourself. If you want to get noticed by sponsors, enter a contest, send in a photo or video or the best thing to do is just go rip so hard that people will notice.
